The Telegram-based mini app Crypto Wallet is not available to users in the Philippines, according to updated support documentation posted by the service.

The app, operated by TG Wallet Inc. (Panama), facilitates cryptocurrency deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and P2P trading directly within Telegram. Despite growing adoption globally, Crypto Wallet has restricted access in a number of jurisdictions, including the Philippines, citing regulatory considerations.

  • Crypto Wallet is a custodial service, meaning it holds users’ private keys and enables fast, off-chain transfers between Telegram users without fees.
  • The service supports TON, USDT, and other select tokens such as NOT, DOGS, and HMSTR.
  • Unlike TON Wallet, a non-custodial app that gives users full control over their private keys and NFTs, Crypto Wallet does not yet support NFTs or all Jettons.
  • Internal transfers are not recorded on-chain, while external transactions incur network fees.

In addition to the Philippines, the app is also inaccessible in the United States, much of the European Union, and several African, Caribbean, and Asia-Pacific jurisdictions. The company warns against using VPNs to bypass restrictions and may request identity documentation to lift access limitations in some cases.

Service Background

Crypto Wallet, formerly known as “Wallet” until July 10, is a mini app embedded within Telegram. While the service is closely integrated with the messenger, it operates independently and is not affiliated with Telegram Messenger itself.

TG Wallet Inc. states it follows international AML and KYC procedures and may conduct additional account reviews as part of its risk assessment protocol.
